Sony's first constant f/2 standard zoom, a stop faster than the usual f/2.8 zooms, covering 28 to 70mm so one lens replaces a set of primes. Twenty elements including three XA aspherics and Nano AR Coating II keep it sharp wide open, four XD linear motors drive fast, quiet autofocus for 4K 120p video, and the 11-blade aperture rounds off the bokeh. Weather-sealed at 918 g with an 86 mm filter thread, a de-clickable aperture ring and minimal focus breathing.
