About this lens
Tamron's 12-20mm f/2.8 (model A084, 2026) is a full-frame ultra-wide zoom for Sony E that starts wider than the classic 16-35s and holds f/2.8 throughout. The VXD linear motor autofocuses fast and quietly, close focus is 18 cm at the wide end, and the 12-blade aperture and moisture-resistant build round it out at 570 g. The bulbous front element takes no screw-in filters (there is a rear gel holder), which suits interiors, architecture, astro and large establishing shots.
